Capital Campaign
ANNUAL FUND
A donation to the annual fund is an unrestricted gift that will benefit the YMCA Camp of Maine based on the discretion of the Board of Directors. Your donation may be used for camper financial aid, facility improvements, program supplies, etc.
PROJECT 218
PROJECT 218 raises funds to assist families and campers to make YCamp possible. Our goal is to annually have 218 campers receive financial aid every summer. With the support of friends and organizations, we provide over $90,000 in scholarships each year.
capital improvements
Donations made to the Capital Improvements campaign are used for facility renovations, improvements, and additions at YCamp.
If you would like to donate to a specific project or learn more about current plans for capital improvements, please contact Jeff Gleason.
program upgrades
Contributing to program upgrades allows us to purchase supplies, secure new equipment, and introduce new programming to YCamp activity offerings.
Endowment
Contributions to the Endowment Fund help to secure the YCamp legacy and long-term sustainability for future generations of campers.
BILL MUNSEY CAMPERSHIP
This scholarship opportunity for campers started in July, 2016 to honor Bill for his extraordinary commitment to YCamp. Bill initiated the Scholarship Fund with a $1000 donation. Bill's involvement in the YCamp started in 1946 as a camper and continued until 2018 when he stepped out of his role on the Board of Directors. For over 50 years, Bill was an active member of the YCamp community. Bill remained a verdant advocate of YCamp until his passing in 2022.
The funds for this Campership are supported by friends, family, and supporters of YCamp who wish to honor Bill's long standing commitment to friendship, leadership development, and living a life well lived. Recipients of this Campership are determined based on the campers need, their commitment to YCamp, and their leadership activities in their community.
ADOPT A CABIN
By making a yearly contribution of $500.00, you may adopt a cabin, and this money is used for the upkeep of our cabins. You may select a cabin name and it will be inscribed on a paddle and placed on the front of the cabin for all to see. This is a great way to honor a friend, family member or business and in turn, you are helping us keep our buildings in good repair.
